Fun in the back yard

Junior looks over his shoulder… is dad or mom watching me pedal toward the woods where I’m not supposed to be going?

Miss C-Bear borrow’s Junior’s bike — and insists she can’t drive and hold her doll at the same time.

Junior and C-Bear crossing paths.

C-Bear has some hair — or is it a ladybug? — on her face. Her daddy is on the case and correcting the issue.

Our new baby girl is getting a little — but not too much! — sun on this beautiful Sunday morning!

Her time in the sun completed, baby girl relaxes in her mom’s arms in the shade.

C-Bear went off the driveway… and gets an airlift back.

Junior’s “I bet you can’t pick me up!” taunt is answered by C-Bear’s dad…

C-Bear, back on the driveway, stops and smiles.

Junior took a vote and unanimously decided to stop smiling for the time being…

…and then held a re-vote which unanimously reversed the no-smiling policy. Silly sanguine!

C-Bear flashes another smile!

Unless you be born again of water and the Holy Spirit…

Baby Girl was baptized today! Her God-parents made the trip from the People’s Democratic Republic of Illinois to attend…

… and to answer on her behalf that she rejects Satan, his works, and his pomps.

Water flows over her head; Grace flows into her soul!

The proud God-parents…

…and one more shot with the siblings and bio-parents!

Bumblebee has a sister!

Junior and Bumblebee are proud to announce the arrival of their new sister! They even almost posed for this picture with her.

Bumblebee gives her little sister a kiss. Next week the lessons on diaper changing begin. Bumblebee is becoming such a helper to her mom!

Junior being loving and vigilant at the same time… nobody is going to sneak up on him while he gives baby sister a kiss!

Mama and baby are looking good and feeling good! Despite baby weighing over nine pounds, active labor took only three hours.

One of many kisses baby has received today!

Practicing patience

Dearest Daddy,

I appreciate the optical superiority of the new Nikon 70-200mm AF-S VR II. I agree that it’s a very nice lens, allowing you to take very sharp pictures in low light with unreal optical stabilization. I agree that Canon could never make a lens this good and that Leica probably could if they decided to start making autofocus lenses. I agree it’s beyond awesome, and I realize you want to use it as much as possible before you put it back in the box and send it back to LensRentals.com. But would it be too much to ask that you put down the camera and give me some breakfast already?

Your loving daughter,
Bumblebee
